In 2024 33.000 children of the Cherson region (200 km around Cherson) got a medical treatment in the children´s hospital of Cherson. 2.000 children showed psychological problems. Because of the ongoing war a significant increase in the number of cases is expected for 2025.Therefor it is absolutely crucial to build up a separate department for psychological treatment.

Situation:
The healthcare system in Nigeria has an increasing need for blood transfusion to manage postpartum bleeding, trauma, major surgery, severe anemia in children, sickle cell disease among others. The available blood is not always safe: there is still a risk of transmission of infectious diseases (inadequate testing, bacterial contamination), inadequate hygiene measures, transfusion reactions due to red cell antibodies (no reagents/facilities for testing).
