In the regular line of funding, direct medical assistance for patients, measures toward improving medical infrastructure, and projects that provide medical training and professional advancement in developing countries are supported. Application submission is possible at any time.

In light of the great hardship and problems facing the people from Ukraine, since the spring of 2022 Else Kröner-Fresenius-Stiftung has made temporary funding available for relief projects in Ukraine or for neighboring countries. In accordance with the purpose of the foundation, the money can be utilized solely for medical projects.
