Save the Children is helping to improve health care in Somaliland, Gabiley by ensuring that children under the age of five have access to life-saving health services.
Health service providers are trained and, like health centers, are provided with medicines and medical equipment. Health workers are deployed to ensure health care in remote villages. Integrated Community Case Management (ICCM) Plus is a sustainable approach to provide timely treatment for pneumonia, severe acute malnutrition and other major causes of child mortality, refer children to health centers and accompany families.  
All project measures are implemented in cooperation with the local Ministry of Health and local health structures are strengthened sustainably.
