Role of hepatic interleukin-1 receptor type 1 (IL-1R1) in inflammatory hepatocarcinogenesis
The prevalence of non-alcoholic fatty liver disease (NAFLD) has risen and in particular patients with the inflammatory subform NASH have an increased risk of developing hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC). Due to the overall mostly poor prognosis of HCC the development of new therapeutic approaches is of high clinical relevance.
