Award Ceremony: Else Kröner Fresenius Award for Development Cooperation in Medicine 2021

Bad Homburg v.d. Höhe, October 21, 2021 – How can outbreaks of epidemics be detected at an early stage and prevented? The focus of this year’s presentation of the Else Kröner Fresenius Award for Development Cooperation in Medicine on the 28th of October lies on the topic “Epidemic Preparedness and Response” – the combating of numerous well-known infectious diseases that can cause epidemics – for example acute meningitis, the plague, polio, malaria or Ebola. At 100,000 euros, the award is one of the most important and best-endowed prizes in the development cooperation sector.
