With our boat Else and a motivated team of four, EKFS participated in the “Rudern gegen Krebs” charity regatta in Mainz for the first time on August 24, 2025.

“Rudern gegen Krebs” is an initiative of the foundation “Stiftung Leben mit Krebs“, which we at EKFS have been supporting for many years. The aim is to actively improve the quality of life of people with cancer – among other things through exercise and sporting activities.

Our Else team performed bravely: it took second place in the preliminary round and third place in the quarterfinals, thus eliminating it from the race. But in keeping with the motto “being there is everything,” the focus was on the good cause – and the regatta offered a great opportunity to stand together for an important cause.

A special highlight was the meeting with Olympic champion and three-time world champion Oliver Zeidler, who supports the foundation “Stiftung Leben mit Krebs“ as an ambassador and sets a strong example with his commitment to the cause.

We are very pleased that the EKFS was able to contribute to this important project with its participation.
