Else Kröner Fresenius Award for Development Cooperation in Medicine 2025 - Outreach Services

-
Berlin, Germany
The award acknowledges outstanding projects which contribute toward improving medical healthcare in developing countries along with those persons from organizations who are responsible for the projects. The award is endowed with 100,000 euros. This year the award honors one project on the topic of “Outreach Services”.
Humanitarian Award 2025: Outreach Services

The prize will be awarded to an outreach health services project (mobile clinic, outreach) that reaches people for whom the journey to the nearest health facility is too far, too dangerous, too impassable or too expensive and in which mobile health teams are supported on foot, by vehicle or other means of transport.

Proposals have been encouraged which involve successful projects in OECD DAC-listed and stable countries that are based on partnership. Alongside the high level of quality and innovation on the part of the project, the particular achievement and character displayed by the proposed person responsible for the project is deemed as being of equal value for receiving the award. Further information on the call for proposals (closed) can be found here.
